The Tableau stuff has been pretty solid (the only one I had issues with was the T8-R2 USB 2.0 bridge, but it was pretty dated by that point and was replaced with a T8U USB 3.0 bridge). I've only ever used Tableau, but I've used multiple Firewire/USB 2.0/USB 3.0 bridges, the TD3 and TX1 duplicators, and now a FRED forensic workstation with a Ultrabay 4d. A more cost-effective solution looks like the Ultrabay 4, it's still $1700 but it can do just about any format with included adapters. That being said they are in a completely different league price-wise than the ComboDock. Tableau offers the standalone imagers (TX1 being current) that will do everything you need. With a 2015 MBP I would use a thunderbolt 2 to firewire adapter, and connect the firewire cable to the TX1/Ultrabay. I've always acquired MacBook Pros in target disk mode.
